jim hostler

Jim Hostler has been with the Daugherty band as a bassist since it was started, or as Jim says, he joined "when it was just a gleam in Ron's eye." Jim got involved with music "before television", and can also play the guitar and mandolin, and if he could master another instrument, he'd choose the fiddle. Jim has been in a few different bands over the years, but says that his front porch is his favorite place to play. His favorite song is Time in a Bottle, and his favorite musician is Doc Watson.

Jim works as a business analyst with Mobility, and has been at Daugherty since 2000.

Jim's Message to the Fans: "Take a listen to Greg Brown's 'Eugene.'"
