Julie Moore joined the Daugherty Band as a drummer in 2003. Julie is not only a drummer, but an all-around percussionist, able to play most percussion instruments including the bells and timpani. Her interest in music started early in life, and she started playing the drums when she was 9 years old. Her grade school band director said that girls shouldn't play the drums, and she says, "It was a challenge I couldn't refuse." Throughout grade school and high school, she played in every band, orchestra, jazz band, and marching band that was offered, including the Indiana All-State Orchestra. She also played in a drum and bugle corps which traveled all over for competitions. The final international competition was in Montreal, Canada. Currently, she is currently the youngest in a rock and roll band called The Hot Flashes. Julie has also dabbled with the guitar and bass, but if she could choose any other instrument to play, she'd choose the piano. As she says, "I think a baby grand would look nice in the living room!"

Julie is the Product Development Manager on AB Mobility, and has been with Daugherty for over 20 years.
